Facebook Page and Twitter Account Created April 2, 2008
If you're a fan of Quisition, you can now tell Facebook by going to the Quisition Facebook page and adding yourself as a fan.
If you use Twitter, you can also follow @quisition.
Quick Test March 19, 2008
Sometimes you want to quickly review a handful of cards and don't have time to test all the cards that are due (especially if you've gotten a little behind or even just a little ambitious and they've piled up).
You can now do a QUICK TEST which will only test you on 10 of the highest priority cards.
You can even do this test if you have no cards due and it will select 10 of the more important cards for you to review at this time.
Quick Start Learning March 17, 2008
It is now possible to go straight from the pack library to learning new cards in that pack. A new deck is created for you automatically so for simple one-pack decks, you can skip a step and get started right away.
This is available, if logged in, by clicking on "quick start learning" on a pack in the pack library.
Improved Learning and Testing Process March 8, 2008
I've made some significant changes to the way learning and testing are performed.
Firstly, I've merged test and review into one step "test". Secondly, I've split the learning of new cards from the relearning of cards answered incorrectly. In the process, I made some minor improvements to the order in which cards are show in both learning steps.
Thirdly, and probably most significantly, it is now possible to add as few or as many new cards per day as you like, rather than being fixed at seven.
My apologies if I broke anything with this change.
Deck Renaming and Pack Removal Feb. 22, 2008
It is now possible to rename decks and to remove packs from a deck. Both operations can be performed from the deck detail page.
Pack Library Searching Improvements Feb. 22, 2008
Packs in the library can now be listed in order of popularity as well as creation date, with popularity the new default. It is also possible to vary the number of results shown per page.
Searches now look in the creator field as well as the title and description fields so you can easily find all the packs contributed by a particular person.
New Look for Quisition Jan. 12, 2008
As a precursor to a lot of functional changes that will be coming in the next few months, I've redesigned the look of the whole Quisition website. I haven't had much chance to test it on IE yet, so I apologize if people using IE have any problems.
Deck Detail Page Jan. 7, 2008
In preparation for a number of new features, there is now a detail page for each of your decks. There is one new feature I've already added which is a bar chart showing the breakdown of cards by correct streak. The bars are further colour-coded to show how many at each level are due, overdue or not yet due.
Scoreboard Jan. 4, 2008
Just for some fun, I've added a page that scores people based on how much they've contributed to the site and how much they've learnt from it. A link to the scoreboard page can be found in the top navbar when logged in.
Search and Pagination of Pack Library Dec. 15, 2007
Now that there are over 250 packs in the Quisition library, I thought it time to implement pagination. Packs are now shown 10 to a page rather than all at once. And to better facilitate finding packs of interest you can now search for words contained in the title or description of a pack.
Deck Deletion and Pack Export Now Possible Dec. 14, 2007
Users have requested both the ability to delete a deck and export a pack. Both these features have now been implemented.
If you go to 'my decks', you'll see that as well as resetting overdue cards, you can delete the deck all together.
If you go to the pack detail page (click on 'view pack' from the 'pack library') for a pack that you were the creator of, you can now export the cards as a pipe-delimited text file, the same format as you can use to import packs.
iPhone Support Sept. 8, 2007
Quisition is now easier to use from your iPhone. Just go to http://www.quisition.com/i/ for testing, reviewing and learning your decks with a layout customized for the iPhone.
Period Between Due and Overdue Now Increases Aug. 26, 2007
Previously, the time period between when a card was due and when it was overdue was always one day.
Now the time between when a card is due and when it is overdue is proportional to the optimal test interval used to determine the due date in the first place.
Ability to Reset Overdue Cards Aug. 26, 2007
Previously, if you didn't test regularly, overdue cards would build up and if you wanted to get back into it, you'd have to start off going through a lot of cards in the first session.
Now you can tell Quisition to reset the overdue cards in a particular deck and forget you ever learnt them. They will then be treated as new cards to learn.
Move to New Host Aug. 26, 2007
Quisition has now moved to a new host. There were some minor glitches during the transition but hopefully everything is back to normal now.
Deleting Draft Packs March 11, 2007
I'm getting some great feedback on ways to improve Quisition and I've started implementing them.
First off is the ability to delete unpublished draft packs. As well as "edit" and "publish", there is now a "delete" button, so you can delete draft packs you never plan to publish.
Bulk Input of Cards Now Available March 4, 2007
It is now possible to add cards to a draft pack in bulk by entering a pipe-delimited list into a text area in the pack editor.
Atom Feed for New Packs Available Feb. 8, 2007
Quisition now has a feed you can subscribe to showing the latest 10 packs. Subscribing to this is a great way of finding out what new packs are being published.
The link is http://www.quisition.com/feeds/packs/
Pack Editor Now Available Feb. 4, 2007
It is now possible to add your own packs to Quisition. Draft packs can be created and cards edited before publishing to the main pack library for you (and the world) to use in test decks.
Import capability will follow in the next few weeks.
New Quisition Beta Now Available Feb. 2, 2007
The new beta of Quisition, entirely rewritten using the Django Web Framework, is now available. Please sign up at www.quisition.com.
I'm making improvements almost daily and user-contributed cards will be coming in the next week or so.
